Recently, while I was in New Jersey I was searching for a restaurant that used locally sourced ingredients. I had a little trouble but finally found this little gem called The Blue Plate in Mullica Hill, NJ and I stopped in for lunch. They offer weekly specials that are unique to the menu and offer ingredients from local farms.
I ordered the flatbread with goat cheese, caramelized onions, asparagus, greens and basalmic glaze. This was a perfect light lunch for summer. It was like finding a needle in a haystack of Italian joints. I will definitely return. What other farm-to-table restaurants exist in South Jersey? I would love to find more!
